LG- A native of Southbury, LG graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 1980 with a B.S. Nursing Degree.  A nursing career seemed like a logical choice in tradition given the successful careers of relatives including her great-grandmother who was a hospital inspector for the State of Connecticut during the influenza epidemic of the early 1900’s.

After graduating from Western, LG moved to Miami, Florida where opportunities for new graduate nurses were plentiful.  It was an exciting time at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital where the surgical unit that she was assigned to became more specialized to address the needs of surgical oncology patients.  With the primary nursing model in place, she worked with a dynamic group of nurses to plan and deliver care to clients who traveled from South America or other states for intervention by skilled and renowned surgeons.  After her first year LG decided to pursue a Masters degree in nursing and attended the University of Miami.  To accommodate class schedules, she left Cedars and became the Intake Coordinator and then Clinical Supervisor for a hospice home care program.  At that time, Medicare was studying the effectiveness of hospice home care throughout the United States for Medicare beneficiaries through a “demonstration project” participated in by a handful of hospices.  To be among the professionals involved at the forefront of a major change in the way health care was being delivered was a unique experience.  To see firsthand the impact of hospice care held a tremendous professional reward and as she returned to New England in 1984, LG stayed with hospice nursing as a specialty.  Eventually she had the good fortune to be asked to start a Medicare- certified hospice program with in an existing VNA.  A program seeded in a strategic agency goal accomplished its original intent and accreditation by JCAHO within a few years.

After years away from hands on nursing, LG returned to the hospital setting at New Milford Hospital.  Re-entering acute care was very satisfying as she refreshed clinical skills at the bedside.  After a time, greater opportunity beckoned with All About You Home Care Services.  Starting with the Quality Assurance team and working in various clinical supervisory roles, LG has been fortunate to evolve professionally with the agency during times of growth program expansion.  Now as the Administrator, it gives her great pleasure to see our teams flourish and serve more clients each year as we strive to carry out the agency’s mission in a compassionate and holistic manner to each client.

EM- RN, MSN EM has been a registered nurse for twenty five years.  She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Boston College in 1985 and Master of Science degree in Nursing at Yale University in 1991 with the specialty of Cardiac Clinical Nurse.  She left Yale University in 1995 and worked part time at Bristol Hospital in Bristol, Connecticut as a Nursing Supervisor in order to meet the needs of her young family.  Her clinical practice in home care began in 1999.  EM’s initial focus in home care was providing private duty nursing for children with high technology medical needs.  Being a mother of a child with autism, epilepsy and tuberous sclerosis, she has a true appreciation of the many challenges families face when raising a child with complex medical diagnoses and special needs.  In 2003 she began her employment with All About You Home Care and expanded her focus to include case management with the Pediatric and Adult population.  In December of 2004 she started in the position of Quality Assurance.  As the head of the department, she oversees the Quality Assurance program including the annual and quarterly program evaluations, the competency assessment program of clinical staff, clinical record review, the annual process and outcome, staff development, utilization review and satisfaction surveys.  EM coordinates and co-chairs the Professional Advisory Committee and reports on the status of the Quality Assurance program to the Governing Authority.  Her role includes oversight of the OSHA program for the Agency and participation in the Safety Committee and coordination and participation in the Risk Management Committee.  The Quality Assurance department has successfully collaborated with the clinical staff and management over the past two years to decrease the percentage of acute hospitalizations and emergent care for the agency.

MBA- has been an RN since 1979.  She graduated from the University of Bridgeport and started her first job at the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s on an orthopedic unit.  She then had two sons and wanted to work closer to home.  She excepted a position in long term care at Branford Hills Health Care Center where she remained for nineteen years, working as a supervisor and assistant Director of Nurses.  Here she gained invaluable knowledge of the geriatric population and enjoyed caring for the residents.  In 1999 MBA was offered a position as a supervisor of an assisted living facility in Branford, Connecticut called Gardenside Terrace.  She continued to care for the geriatric population there for five years.  In 2005, MBA was offered a position as Clinical Nursing Supervisor at All About You Home Care.  She has learned a tremendous amount about the care of behavioral health clients as well as the care of our medical population.  She continues to enjoy all the challenges that caring for clients brings each day.

JO- is a graduate of Naugatuck Valley Community College’s Nursing Program receiving her Associate of Science degree in 2004.  Her professional background before nursing was oriented to accounting and business.
As a staff nurse at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, JO specialized in hematology and oncology nursing.  She enjoyed the highly technical needs of her patients but more importantly, she felt accomplished when assisting them to cope with a new diagnosis or progressing illness.  As a new nurse, this was a fast-paced setting in which she honed clinical skills and nursing judgment.
With the endorsement of a colleague, she came on board with All About You Home Care to try her hand at Extended Care nursing with the Pediatric Program.  Home Health care at a family-orientated agency was attractive to her and her family and she accepted the position of Home Health Aide Supervisor in 2006.  Within a year, she was continuing her education and became Supervisor of Clinical Services in early 2009.  As a member of the agency’s management team, she is responsible for recruiting and training professional staff to deliver quality care.  She manages a growing team of medical and behavioral health nurses, oversees all facets of the multidisciplinary care team providing direct care as well as collaboration with all agency operations on a day-to-day basis.
